We are looking to recruit a Canteen Chef Supervisor for our staff canteen at Westerleigh. The successful candidate will be work closely with the Canteen Manager to ensure a high standard of service for the site which includes responsibly for staff sales.

The role includes:

Supervision of 3 Canteen assistants across 2 canteens.

Stock taking and product rotation.

Running of till reports and submitting to finance.

Serving of food and beverages

Collect money and operate cash till

Cleaning of kitchen equipment, worktops, tables, and floors

Preparing and cooking of food as required, covering in full for the Canteen manager. Eg Absence/Holiday.

Placing orders

Contributing to menu ideas/rotation

Ensuring prices are correct and minimum margins are maintained.

Assist Canteen Manager with implementation of new processes/procedures including compliance documentation.

Assist with onsite events such as summer BBQ and staff Christmas dinner.

Putting away deliveries

Always comply with company health and safety standards and ensure work areas are kept clean and tidy.

Always comply with food hygiene standards.

Quality & Food safety

The job holder has a responsibility to maintain a culture of awareness of, and commitment to the highest standards of quality & food safety and as such they must lead by example and report any risks / concerns to Technical immediately.

The successful candidate must:

Have previous experience working in a canteen kitchen.

Have Food Hygiene Certificate L3

Have good verbal, written and numerical skills (including handling of cash)

Be well organised.

Be a team player.

Be self-motivated.

Be a friendly individual with focus on customer service
