We are looking for a Customer Technologist to work within our Central Technical team.

This role is a great opportunity to assist in the technical management of key customer accounts. Working closely with the site technical teams on customer KPI reporting, Specification management, NPD technical critical paths and ensuring that the technical relationship between our key customer accounts and Pilgrim’s UK runs smoothly. This is an exciting role involving travel between sites and to customer meetings and panels. Overnight stays may occasionally be required.

Your key accountabilities will include responsibility of the collation of all KPI’s for reporting to the Technical Director and Customer. Support site technical teams to interpret and implement customer codes of practice, industry best practice and standards by defining “what good looks like”, the scoping and delivery of strategic group projects between Pilgrim’s and the customer. Supporting the adherence to the critical path to launch.

Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in a technical or administration position. It would be desirable but not essential to have basic product and process knowledge for example, Thermal processing, microbiology and meat curing, as well as knowledge of BRC Global standards, Quality Management Systems and technical factory management. Good communication skills are a must, you will build positive relationships with key stakeholders in multiple locations at different levels. Ability to manage your workload to maintain stakeholder expectations is useful. It is useful if our candidate has a Food Science / Technology or other related biological science qualification along with HACCP or Food Safety Qualification. Driving licence is required.
