Here at our Bodmin site, we are looking for an enthusiastic team player to come and join our friendly team of engineers.
General duties to include;
Planning and control of all contractors works
Reviewing Method statements and risk assessments
Issuing permits, hot work, working at height, electrical, confined space etc
Contractor and works monitoring.
Controlling safety for the engineering department
Supporting the store man with managing an effective stock control system for all Site engineering supplies.
Ensure stocks are maintained accurately and to the agreed levels.
Understanding the stores Budget – daily, weekly and monthly.
Highlight any stock discrepancies to the Effective Maintenance Coordinator as soon as possible.
Taking in deliveries of goods and checking off items against delivery notes, ensuring all deliveries are of the required quality and to the agreed specification.
Ensure all goods are booked in and put away in their correct location to ensure they can be located easily.
Record and maintain agreed stock levels of all parts and components used within the production facility.
Issuing parts and components to Engineers. With the corresponding Works Order numbers.
Ensure the Holistech stock system is kept up to date as a live system.
Place purchase orders for stock items within agreed financial parameters through SAP.
Skills & Knowledge
Electrical / engineering background
A good knowledge of site safety
Can do attitude
Flexible in working hours / days
Excellent Organizational Skills
Ability to learn and be trained in required skills
Good communicator at all levels
Ability to work well on their own and as part of a team
Good attention to detail
An ability to adapt to a changing and evolving department
Experience working on Holistech & SAP would be an advantage – (Full Training will be Given)
Working Knowledge of Sarbanes – Oxley Compliance SOX – (Training will be provided).
BRC Audit compliance Knowledge (Training will be provided)
Full UK Driving License is required
FLT license would be an advantage but not essential as full training can be given
Basic H&S awareness
Racking SEMA (if the site structure requires it)
