Delivering business success through our people
We are looing for a Engineering Project Manager to join our Engineering team. As an Engineering Project Manager you will contribute to the achievement of the Site Objectives by ensuring that plant, equipment, services and buildings are maintained to agreed standards and well within budget. Directing and controlling engineering department to deliver pre planned maintenance and a positive reactive response to breakdowns. Support Group Engineering Projects team to ensure engineering capital projects are delivered in a timely and cost effective manner and participating as a member of the Senior operational team.
To deliver a sustainable, fit for purpose Planned Maintenance for the site
Management of site downtime to reduce cost of manufacture
Management of Engineering Budget and Major Spends to deliver cost effective Maintenance at site
Provide a positive "Can Do" attitude and sense of urgency around solving issues
Promote Continuous Improvement approach & philosophy within the Engineering Department
Focus the whole team on maximising service, minimising waste and reducing labour costs
Provide clearly defined action plans for resolving operational issues outlining plans, actions, timescales and responsibilities
Promote a Health, Safety & Food Hygiene awareness culture within the Engineering Department and across the site
Provide new concepts and innovative solutions to site issues and deliver through collaborative working
Provide a continuously improving standard of Engineering working practices throughout the site to deliver internal and external customer expectations
Work collaboratively and effectively with Project Engineering Managers on the implementation of capital projects
A clear strategically aligned workforce plan is in place for the department
Key member of the site leadership team
Contributes to driving and maintaining a high performance culture within the function and across the site.
Contributes to creating an engagement culture throughout the business
The successful candidate will hold a C&G, NVQ or equivalent in both Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. They will have management experience, ideally in the food industry but this is not essential. They will have strong communication skills and proven experience of project management.
