We are currently recruiting for an HR Administrator on a permanent basis within the HR department at Redruth. The role will be Monday – Friday, 07.00am to 15.30pm , however all candidates must be willing to be flexible regarding their hours of work throughout the year to meet deadlines.

Purpose of the Role

The HR Administrator role will be to able to administer the weekly payroll and associated records for the site in accordance with the group policies and statutory requirements. You will also undertake general HR administration duties as assigned by the HR Manager / HR Advisor.

Key Accountability – Main tasks

Act as primary point of contact for colleagues and managers alike providing timely advice as and when required to ensure the delivery of HR best practices as agreed with HR Manager.

Proactively support the delivery of HR/employment processes and procedures to ensure managers provided with up to date, accurate advice at all times.

Maintain regular contact with managers to establish headcount requirements and provide proactive support with recruitment requirements.

Support in disciplinary and grievance processes within span of control supporting managers, providing assistance and timely interventions, together with offering the range of solutions available.

Ensure all weekly reports (payroll, sickness absence etc) are accurate, completed in a timely manner and as per agreed SLAs.

Working with managers to monitor, record and manage absence levels, providing statistical data and proactive options to reduction in % levels.

Ensure all administrative duties are completed in a timely manner

Develop relationships outside of site with support network, payroll, HR at sister sites etc

Undertake/support internal and external audits as and when required

Arrange occupational health appointments for both new starters and referrals as per relevant polices

We are looking for someone who has ideally had previous experience in an Administration or Payroll position, has a good level of numeracy and literacy and is computer literate, especially Microsoft Office packages such as Word & Excel. You will have excellent attention to detail, have a confident telephone manner and will work well as part of a team.
