Intake Manager

Pilgrim’s UK are currently looking for an Intake Manager to join the site at Bromborough. Pilgrim’s are Britain’s biggest provider of higher welfare pork and the lowest cost, sustainable pig farming business in the UK.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing business with ambitious plans for the future. Your job will be to ensure ensure all product is brought into site to the correct specification, supplying the production team with the required products in specification and in time. You will work as part of the management team supporting to develop the site and business strategy. You will work alongside the site planning team and external parties to ensure the rigour of the supply chain for the Bromborough site.

Your day-to-day duties will include:

Being accountable for the appropriate storing and rotation of production held within the intake area

Ensuring accurate records and reporting of product information

Ensure the control and recording of all material handling equipment such as Raw material, Residual products and Quarantined stock

Effectively liaise with all internal and external customers, ensuring any claims are dealt with in a timely manor

Ensure all product is despatched accurately, within specified schedules and ensure all quality requirements, including temperature specifications are fully adhered to

Participate in external Quality and Food Safety audits and customer technical visits taking the lead within their department or area of responsibility

Support and seek opportunities with any projects to reduce waste, maximise recycling and reduction of the carbon footprint of the site

Managing health and safety of the area

Be ambassadors for and promote the culture of Quality and Food Safety by their visible presence on site demonstrating behaviours and always reinforcing our commitment to the highest standards

Encouraging team work, ensuring effective communication, monitoring 13 direct reports, identifying training and development plans, managing levels of absenteeism in your team
