We are currently seeking a Multi Skilled Engineer for our AM Shift (5am – 2pm, Monday to Friday), you will ensure that production targets are met using the appropriate technical support in the correction, prevention and elimination of technical problems
Through continuous improvement, drive the move from a “repair culture” to an “improvement culture”, enhancing equipment performance and reliability by developing technical skills and knowledge.
Further responsibilities include, yet are not limited to:
Providing technical support in response to breakdowns on process and IT systems, plant and equipment, including good fault finding techniques.
Deliver electrical and mechanical maintenance across the site on all equipment. Knowledge of PLCs and controls, invertors and drives will be required.
Responding promptly and effectively to ensure quick resolution to any equipment issues to minimise any downtime, quality and efficiency problems.
Apply lean thinking techniques to ensure the productive capability of the plant is optimised and improved thus demonstrating commitment towards achieving factory targets, including prompt start up times will be essential.
Continuously reviewing the maintenance schedules to ensure standards of plant and equipment are maintained whilst minimising the labour required.
Develop daily maintenance schedules to ensure safe and efficient running of the plant and equipment, including compliance with our own Codes of Practice.
Key Accountabilities include:
Actively supporting the ‘lean thinking’ culture.
Working with site personnel and commissioning engineers to ensure required process skills training is performed for all new equipment.
Ensuring compliance with all site policies and rules for quality, safety and the environment.
The successful candidate will have to be able to participate constructively as a member of the department, keeping everyone informed and proactively share your knowledge and expertise within the team.
The successful applicant will be Competent in IT/computer skills including holistic literate.
Full and appropriate levels of electrical, mechanical certification which is to be supported by practical ability and actions and assessment as and when required.
