We are recruiting for full time Operatives to work in our Offal Packing Department at our Llanidloes site who are keen to learn new skills, are focused and driven. If you feel that this describes you, we want to hear from you! We are looking to invest into people, providing role specific training to progress enthusiastic candidates up through the business.
Reporting to the Offal Packing Supervisor, successful applicants will be trained to rotate across a number of areas including, the packing offal, cut lines and vac pac. You will also be responsible for complying with health, safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure work is carried out to the best of the Operative’s abilities to meet production deadlines
Seek training to maintain skills and remain up to date with best practice
Work as part of a team and take responsibility for own work
Carry out all procedures in a safe manner in accordance with training
Comply with Company policy and procedures on safe food handling and hygiene at all times
Maintain responsibility for operational effectiveness of equipment and machinery and report faults to Management in a timely manner
Maintain personal PPE
Carry out any other reasonable duties assigned necessary to meet business needs.
Operators will need to be flexible and use a variety of skills, understanding quality, product and safety requirements and be able to handle non routine situations which may arise.
Key Requirements:
Previous experience in a food production environment is desirable
Willingness to learn in semi-skilled roles
Good communication
Ability to work on own initiative whilst working as part of a team, striving to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction
Candidates will need a ‘can do’ approach and must be able to handle working in a fast paced environment.
The vacancies are full time on a regular shift pattern covering the hours of 6:00am start time Monday to Friday, shift times vary due to production levels average finish time 2.00pm
