We have an exciting opportunity for a Purchasing Coordinator to join the established purchasing team at our Linton site. The successful candidate will be working with internal cross functional managers, external suppliers and customers as the co-ordinator for dry goods for the site. You will be administering orders and invoices, ensuring orders are delivered correctly and in a timely manner and liaising directly with the stores team. You will compile data and carry out analysis on stock management and cost saving/ improvement initiatives as well as being involved in project work and other departmental initiatives.

The successful candidate will work closely with the commercial and operations teams to establish anticipated changes in demand for certain products, taking into account product lines to be introduced and de-listed, promotions, changes in customer requirements, fluctuations in staff numbers etc. You will also be responsible for the efficient co-ordination of delivery times and communication of the delivery schedule, taking into account the constraints dictated by the site/s and supplier. You will deal effectively and efficiently with general queries generated both internally and from outside suppliers, with specific responsibility for managing and recording of quality issues and ensuring the management structure are kept informed of relevant issues as appropriate.

The successful candidate will be highly numerate and analytical, with excellent attention to detail, you will have proven organisational and planning skills as well as excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. The ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders is a must, you will have the ability to remain calm under pressure and be able to multitask in a fast paced, diverse environment whilst adhering to the required deadlines. You will be commercially aware, assertive, influential, persuasive and a good negotiator. You will be able to think laterally under your own supervision. Strong IT skills as a must.

Ideally the successful candidate will have previous purchasing experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment and have a degree or equivalent in a relevant area.
