We are seeking a Specifications Technologist to join the Fresh Meats Central team. Reporting to the Fresh Technical Director, you will work closely with the Production Engineer and the Operational Excellence team. As part of our business development plan, all fresh meat specifications will transfer from an excel database to a purpose built online specification platform. This role will manage and deliver this transfer and have ownership of fresh meat specifications ongoing.

Location is flexible but accessibility to a cutting plant will be essential. The role will require some travelling to alternative sites to work with the Production Engineer and for meetings with the stakeholder team.

Our ideal candidate will be self-motivated and have a flexible and enthusiastic approach; have experience in food manufacturing, specifically regarding specifications and ideally some knowledge of butchery cuts. You will have an awareness of concerns regarding nutrition, food tolerance and allergens alongside strong administrative, organisational and communication skills. You will have strong IT skills including experience of using web based specifications systems.
