We are seeking a Specifications Technologist to join the specifications/process team based at our Linton site. This successful candidate will work closely with the Raw Materials Technologist as well as the process, technical, product development and commercials teams and our suppliers, to create, maintain and update accurate product specifications for products across our site. This will also involve the coordination and checking of artwork to ensure that the products comply with all relevant legislation.

In conjunction with all relevant stakeholders you will write product specifications for all new product lines on both web based and internal systems as well as coordinate / distribute the artwork for checking within the given timescales. Maintenance & updating of internal and customer product specifications will form a key part of this role, making the necessary amendments as required within given timescales. In addition to the above you will also be responsible for escalating potential risks to preventing a positive customer experience, identify potential resolutions where possible and above all assist the Specification and development teams in achieving a right first-time experience for the customer, with minimal pre-launch amendments.

Our ideal candidate will be self-motivated and have a flexible and enthusiastic approach; have experience in food manufacturing, specifically regarding specifications and artwork as well as experience in working with suppliers. You will have an awareness of concerns regarding nutrition, food tolerance and allergens alongside strong administrative, organisational and communication skills. You will have strong IT skills including experience of using web based specifications systems and ideally hold a degree in Food Science/Technology or equivalent.
