BQP is the largest pig producer in the UK working with over 350 partnership farmers to supply high welfare, quality pork products to premium markets. The Agricultural team based at Stradbroke in Suffolk is made up of our team of vets, fields staff, technical and support staff working together to ensure that our supply chain from beginning to end operates within the highest standards of welfare, quality and efficiency.
We are looking to recruit an individual to support and carry out administrative tasks for the Pig Supply Chain and Planning team within the agricultural business. This role would require the job holder to act as a key point of contact, supporting on a day-to-day basis the Pig Supply Chain and Planning Manager as well as providing general administrative support for the team. They will have the opportunity to become involved in key aspects of our business which would include:
Scheduling deliveries to our manufacturing sites and liaising with on site teams.
Reporting & trending of key production data to measure supply chain efficiency
Responsibility for putting in place steps with suppliers to ensure continual improvement and being able to measure performance against these steps
Maintenance of SharePoint database for farm assurance certificates and other certificates
Maintaining offsite lairage (OSL) forms
Setting up new producers & farms and updating farm assurance records on the Hellenic system
Working with the Pig Supply Chain Development team to update relevant systems
Logging & reporting of KPI information to monitor efficiencies
Lead on general farm assurance traces & queries
Keeping core Supply Chain team files updated on a weekly/periodic basis
Assisting with the setting up and checking of pig movements
We are looking for a collaborative team player who is able to prioritize, enjoys the challenge of working in a busy office environment and has proven written/verbal communication skills with the ability to build strong working relationships with our farming community and internal teams. You must be analytical, have attention to detail, sound problem solving skills and able to work independently. You must also have experience of working confidently with bespoke computer systems.
