Alan Lilley, Meat Buyer in King’s Lynn, is proud to announce he has smashed his £750 target for charity after completing his 55-mile challenge which saw him ride his bike from London to Brighton last Sunday (10 September). But Alan wants to carry on his good work and is asking people to dig deep, and if possible, donate what they can to help him go even more over his original target by donating online.

Alongside Alan was JBS Colleague Jefferson Nascimento, Commercial Director – Prepared Foods , and crossed the line together – even if he did beat Alan by a few feet!

Alan explained: “Due to my sister Lesley being treated for Cancer and my dad dying at the age of 31 of this awful disease I am decided to do it as a fundraiser and as I have always pledged, every penny raised 100% will go to the charity. I also want to thank Jefferson for joining me and providing so many words of encouragement and support.”

All funds raised will go to “Children with Cancer UK” which supports families that have Children fighting Cancer, and also helps with research into a cure.

Alan added: “The ride was emotional and grueling at times, but we kept going to the finish line. I want to thank all my supporters as well as friends, family and colleagues who all donated and passed on so many kind messages.”
