Our early careers Apprentice Programme attracts and develops talent in much needed areas such as engineering, technical and butchery, alongside our bespoke Leadership Trainee Programme which has seen many young people become great leaders.


Instant STARS can be issued by a manager at any time and those awarded go through to the Shining Star and Rising Star quarterly awards along with any nominations put forward by our employees. Our work councils and site leadership teams select the winners and those awarded a quarterly star are automatically put through to be considered for a Super Star award. Our employees can also nominate a colleague they deem a Super Star and winners will be chosen by the executive team.

We offer a fantastic wellbeing platform that can be accessed at any time, so our people are able to look after their health and wellbeing. We also make sure every employee can have an annual mini health MoT and access to our occupational and employee care counselling and support services. We promote Stronger Together to educate and prevent exploitation and provide a Speak Up confidential reporting hotline.


Our corporate charity is Mind and have committed to raise £40,000 over two years. We aim to achieve this by holding charity events at our sites and sharing the winnings of our very own Lottery where our people can not only support a good cause but also have the chance of winning cash prizes. 

We also support IGD with their school scheme where our employees can volunteer to share their personal experiences and build knowledge about the food Industry. Our colleagues can also support their local communities with approved time off to volunteer in a variety of community activities.
