Colleagues across all Pilgrim’s UK sites have been celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee in style with lots of fun activities. Teams have really put their creative thinking caps on as everyone gets into a celebratory mood. From special lunch menus to photo booths, there is something for everyone.

Rachel Baldwin, VP HR, explained: “This coming long weekend will be a time to celebrate and bring colleagues and communities together. I am very proud to see so many sites celebrating in their own unique way and putting a personal touch to celebrations. I also want to thank those working over the next two days and the coming weekend – going that extra mile. Do enjoy the celebrations and have fun with whatever you have planned.”

Her Majesty the Queen became the first British Monarch to celebrate a Platinum Jubilee after 70 years of service.

The week of celebrations included a special tea service by Spalding which included scones, sandwiches and more. Ruskington also celebrated with a unique menu as well as a chance to take your photo with a cut out of the Queen. Coalville held a colouring competition, a cob day and put up decertations across the site. Warwick also got into the spirit with cakes and bunting – along with some free chocolate. Corsham gave their team a free BBQ and a best of British canteen menu. Andover also dished out free cream tea and got their butchers to wear union jacks.

Ivan Siqueira, President of Pilgrim’s UK, also joined the fun by donning a Union Jack hat along with sampling some sweet treats. Ivan added: “However you are celebrating over the next few days, have fun and I hope you have enjoyed any treats and celebrations on site. I also want to thank everyone who has organised celebrations – helping make this week and the next few days extra special.”
