We are proud to announce that five colleagues have been voted in as finalists across three prestigious categories for this year’s Women In Meat. And with just under two months till the awards ceremony, on November 17 in London, the business is keeping its fingers crossed to bring home a hat trick of awards.

The 2023 awards follow last year’s success when Tracy Charlton, Ruskington Site Director, walked away with the Foodservice award as well as eight other colleagues included in the short list.

This year’s contenders include:

Manufacturing/Processing Award
Felicity Richmond – Technical Account Manager
Jess Crudgington – Site Director (designate)
Nicola Davies – Redruth Operational Manager

Training & Education
Kylie Quantrill – King’s Lynn HR Manager

Rising Star Award
Stephanie Swinyard – NPD Project and Systems Manager

VP of HR, Rachel Baldwin, said: “One again our business is championing women in the meat industry. To have five finalists across three categories is something we should be proud of and celebrating. To be selected is not easy and then to make the cut via the public vote is even tougher – so a huge congratulations to all five of you. Good luck to all our women and fingers crossed we bring home some awards.”

The Women In Meat Industry Awards are designed to recognise the vitally important contributions that women make to the meat sector. This unique awards initiative is driven by reader nominations and votes, with an expert judging panel gathering to select the overall Meat Businesswoman of the Year recipient. The results will be announced 11th November in London.

The business also wants to congratulate two of our business partners including Daniela Giardin, JBS Global (UK), who has been nominated for the Foodservice (Catering Butcher) award. As well as Constance Reeves, at our sister company Moy Park, who has made the final list for the Poultry Award.

VP of HR, Rachel Baldwin, added: “We need every colleague to get behind our amazing women and wish them the very best for the night. This is proving to be a big year for awards for us, so let’s keep up the momentum and prove to the industry how driven we are in our pursuit to be the best in our sector.”
