We are pleased to share that Pilgrim’s UK has been awarded the GroceryAid Gold Award for the fourth-year in a row in recognition of our great fundraising, volunteering efforts and helping raise awareness.

The business has raised money throughout the year for the charity and spread awareness amongst colleagues and the wider public of the originations vital work – providing practical, financial and emotional support to people in the grocery trade – helping the sector for over 160 years.

Pilgrim’s UK has supported a number of GroceryAid events, while colleagues have volunteered for the charity and raised awareness of its work. In addition, the business is an active member of the GroceryAid Welfare Strategy Committee – contributing with expert advice and strategic support.

Rachel Baldwin explained: “We all know how tough times are and following the pandemic many feel overwhelmed, but GroceryAid has been busier than ever before. Thanks to their guidance and support, they are helping many people with advice, information, grants, signposting, professional assistance and so much more – all of which is needed more than ever before. We’re proud to work with GroceryAid and earning this award for the fourth-year running is testament to the ongoing efforts of our team. We once again look forward to supporting the charity in 2023 and beyond – pushing their message even more.”

The Gold Award is the highest possible accolade businesses can receive and is awarded to those that support the charity through fundraising, raising awareness and volunteering efforts.
