Pilgrim’s Europe is proud to announce we have been recognised by judges after taking top spot in the Good Housekeeping BBQ Taste Test for our Co-op Slow Cooked BBQ Ribs which scored a staggering 82 out of 100.

Judges were impressed with the mild flavour and the dry rub which they noted delivers subtle notes of pepper, chilli and smoked paprika. The texture was also mentioned as being soft and flaky – with a nice fattiness.

Matt Casey, Head of Customer & Culinary Innovation, explained: “Another great win for our growing list of accolades. This prize is especially important because it comes from a leading magazine within our industry which saw us beat some stiff competition along the way. With BBQ season around the corner, this should give us a real boost and help us reach consumers even more. A huge congratulations also goes to our Corsham team for producing orders and ensuring quality standards are maintained.

”News of Good Housekeeping’s taste test results also appeared in The Sun Online and MSN News which highlighted the BBQ Ribs as best in budget.

The panel of experts tasted over 235 products from supermarkets and independent retailers to highlight the very best for BBQ season.
