We have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Team Leader to join our business working on a 4 on 4 off day shift to provide high quality engineering support to the site focusing on reliability and continuous improvement of all site assets.

Your main responsibilities will be:

To act as a role model to support, coach and motivate your reports to achieve production targets.

Build and maintain audit ready standards (30-minute rule).

Maximise Engineer utilisation across all departments during your shift.

Attend meetings as and when required,

Ensure detailed, effective handovers and continuous communication between shifts.

Ability to train engineering staff on site machinery and equipment.

Flexible working to set up, changeover, operate machinery, other equipment and tools across all departments as required within standard operating procedures to achieve required outputs and quality.

Carry out a range of manual tasks and activities across all departments and ensure all tasks are finished within permitted time frames.

Completion of PPM’s across all departments adhering to schedules, KPI’s and CMMS.

Complete daily engineering work reports and record work using the required format to ensure it is entered onto the CMMS.

Support the operations team to increase efficiency.

Clean and tidy work areas so that hygiene and health and safety standards are maintained.

Ensure accurate recording of engineering downtime and Root Cause Analysis detail then implement RCA findings to prevent repeat issues.

Actively identify areas of improvement, actively assist the implementation of any improvements.

To work with the engineering team to record, develop and implement maintenance best practices to maximise plant reliability.

To perform engineering functions and drive cost saving opportunities concerning site utilities.

To actively support the implementation of Site and Group driven Projects.

Manage, Complete and support the Site Management of Change documentation.

Ensure that an up-to-date Training Matrix is in place with Training Plans and review process for self and each direct report.

To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate good leadership skills, have strong Engineering skills within Automation and Controls systems. You will have experience or working within FMCG and ideally a food manufacturing site, observing the highest levels of health, safety and hygiene.
