Pilgrim’s UK is pleased to announce that our Waitrose Summer Wild Garlic & Herb Lamb Burgers have been once again recognised – this time winning two-stars at this year’s Great Taste Awards.

But this isn’t the first award for these burgers. Last year at the Meat Management Industry Awards they bagged Britain’s Best Burger – adding to their growing credentials.

Matt Casey, Head of Customer & Culinary, said: “We are thrilled with these awards which demonstrates how highly rated these burgers are. For an irresistible barbecue that gets mouths watering these burgers will hit the spot. Our succulent British lamb burgers are blended with an aromatic mix of wild garlic, sage, rosemary and parsley – delicious twist on a traditional burger.”

Products receive a one, two or three-star rating if they are ranked amongst the best by judges, with the majority receiving no rating at all – showing how exclusive the Great Taste Awards are. Every Great Taste award-winning product can display the black and gold awards logo, a stamp of excellence that is recognised by retailers and consumers alike.

Matt added: “ The Great Taste Awards are highly regarded and this is a great achievement we should all be proud of. But I also want to pass on a huge amount of credit to our Linton team who produce the burgers and work hard to ensure we complete and deliver on quality and orders.”

Established in 1994, Great Taste is organised by the Guild of Fine Food and is the world’s largest, longest standing and most respected food accreditation scheme for artisan and speciality food producers.
