Pilgrim’s UK Lamb has confirmed it will be the main sponsor at this year’s National Sheep Association (NSA) on-farm events in May, showcasing the best of sheep farming in Wales and the West Country.

As proud sponsors of the NSA’s events for many years, Pilgrim’s UK Lamb is a huge supporter of the Welsh and West Country’s lamb industry – purchasing a large proportion of its lambs from Welsh and West Country farmers and supplying high quality lamb products to major retailers like Waitrose.

After a long period of delays due to Covid-19 restrictions, the NSA Sheep South West event will be held on 10th May in Honiton, East Devon, followed by the NSA Welsh Sheep event which will be held on 16th May in Newton, in East Wales.

The bi-annual farming shows bring together all elements of the sheep sector including farmers, sheep breed societies, meat processors and levy bodies, alongside companies looking to sell everything from equipment, and pharmaceutical products, to seeds and fertiliser.

Liz Rees at Pilgrim’s UK Lamb Ltd, said: “The National Sheep Association events this year will provide an excellent opportunity for us to meet our producers, and other industry stakeholders. We are delighted that Jake Pickering, Agriculture Manager at Waitrose and Partners, will be joining us at Sheep Southwest. We’re proud to be the main sponsors at the events and look forward to seeing some familiar faces and meeting some new ones.

“Customers and suppliers know our reputation is based on being the premier specialist lamb producer in the UK. We’re committed to bringing our Welsh and West Country farmers with us as we continue this journey.”
