Pilgrim’s UK has been shortlisted for the Just Transition Award in this year’s edie Net-Zero Awards thanks to our critical work with livestock supply chain in Europe.

A sister scheme to the edie Awards – the world’s most prestigious accolade for sustainable businesses – the new edie Net-Zero Awards have been created to recognise and reward the individuals and organisations that are spearheading the transition towards a net-zero carbon economy.

Andy York, Human Rights Manager , explained: “Once again the business is being recognised for all our vital work. To asses our human rights impact across our whole supply chain is not easy, but thanks to some solid team work we have been able to see what impact we are having, highlight improvements and look to a better future for the business and our people.”

Winners will be announced during a theatre-style awards ceremony, on 15 November, taking place during edie’s flagship Net-Zero November campaign full of digital content and live events.

Andy added: “We know there will be lots of stiff competition on the night but we will be keeping our fingers crossed and hope to bring home the gold. I also want to thank my wider team as well as colleagues across the business for supporting our work.”
