Pilgrim’s UK is pleased to announce that RPF (Randall Parker Foods Ltd) will now be known as Pilgrim’s UK Lamb Ltd. The news follows a quick and smooth transition of RPF since its acquisition six months ago.

The business acquired RPF back in November 2021 and within this short time we have already made lots of positive progress. The integration of the two organisations has been going extremely well – with everyone embracing and supporting this new era. In addition, the recently announced restructure of Pilgrim’s UK has seen the two lamb manufacturing sites become part of our Fresh business unit, which Lee Rampling, Managing Director – Fresh, is overseeing.

Lee explained: “A huge amount of work has gone into integrating the RPF sites into the wider Pilgrim’s UK organisation and it is a testament to the RPF teams’ passion and commitment that this has seen the project go so well. I also want to praise the team for doing this all while keeping on top of their day jobs – serving customers in the UK and oversees with fantastic products. A huge well-done and thank you to everybody involved in helping make this transition a success.”

Jim Gaffney, Managing Director of Pilgrim’s UK Lamb Ltd, said: “The last six months have seen us work closer and closer with the Pilgrim’s UK team which has been a true learning experience for everyone. I am thrilled that we are now officially Pilgrim’s UK Lamb Ltd which ushers in a new era for us all. Customers and suppliers know our reputation is based on being the premier specialist lamb processor in the UK. Thanks to this new relationship our reputation in the industry will grow further. I look forward to working even closer with our new colleagues and learning from one another – and most of all continuing to produce high quality British lamb.”

Lee added: “Essentially, it is very much a case of business as usual, we are the same company, just with a new name. As we said at the time of the acquisition, it is skills, commitment, expertise and the experience of the RPF team that we have bought into. At the same time, it’s important we recognise that are strength and future lay in being one team, operating to a single set of values, working for one organisation towards the same vision: to be the best and most respected company in our industry creating the opportunity of a better future for our team members.”
