Dalehead Bikers from Spalding have raised £400 for Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance following a 200mile epic journey.

Seven colleagues from the Lincolnshire based site got on their motorbikes and started their voyage which saw them go past Bakewell and Matlock Bath in the Peak District.

The Lincs & Notts Air Ambulance is one of the UK’s leading Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) Charities, funded purely by the generosity of people. They transport the equivalent of an A&E department to people suffering from the most serious of illnesses and devastating injuries, providing the best possible treatment as quickly as possible.

Nigel Smith & Graham Matthews, helped organise the day and explained: “This was the first bikers fund-raising event known as ‘Charity Ride Pilgrim’s Dalehead’ and was a huge success. We all appreciate the difference our local Air Ambulance make, and as keen bikers they have helped many people on the road over the years to get urgent treatment. We are proud to be handing over this cheque and want to thank everyone for their support and donations.”
