We are proud to announce that Nicola Davies, Redruth Operations Manager, took home the Manufacturing/Processing award at this year’s Women In Meat Industry Awards last Friday (17 November) during the Women in Meat Awards which saw four other colleagues shortlisted across three prestigious categories.

Attracting over 11,000 votes for the finalists this year, the annual Women In Meat Industry Awards ceremony revealed all the category winners at an event evening in London which was another outstanding success. 12 presentations were made recognising individuals and talent from right across the industry. Special-guest host and broadcaster Jennie Bond presented the awards along with category partners.

Ian Bagnall, Managing Director – Added Value, said: “We should all be proud of this award. Nicola is a firm favourite at Redruth for a reason, she works very hard and is relentless in her pursuit for excellence. Over her time at Redruth, she has worked her way up from an Operator to Operational Manager. A huge well done to her and everyone who was nominated.”

This year’s other four finalists included:

Manufacturing/Processing Award
Felicity Richmond – Technical Account Manager
Jess Crudgington – Site Director (designate)

Training & Education
Kylie Scott – ER & HR Projects Business Partner

Rising Star Award
Stephanie Swinyard – NPD Project & Systems Manager

Nicola was present to collect her award and explained: “This was a huge honour for both me and our site. For just under three decades, I have learned from some of the best in our sector and this has helped me become bigger and better – surpassing my personal goals. I also want to thank everyone across the business and Redruth for supporting me – especially David Parker who has been an incredible influence on me since being at the site.”

Rachel Baldwin, VP HR, added: “Once again the Women in Meat Awards did not disappoint. Several of us had the pleasure to meet and talk to several prominent and up and coming women across our industry. We also had the delight to present the Multiple Retailing award on behalf of the business. I want to congratulate Nicola on her award and of course the other four colleagues shortlisted – another award to add to our growing trophy cabinet for 2023.”
